Earning Onsite Commissions
We're excited to share that we've launched a new benefit called Onsite Earnings. If your content is selected, you will earn onsite rates when customers click on your content and make a qualifying purchase. If this happens, you will need to update tax and payment information for your new Store ID in order to receive payment.
When logged into your account on Associates Central, you will see a Store ID at the top right for your onsite account (it may begin with “onamz“). This is your ID to track your onsite earnings (Onsite Store ID). This Onsite Store ID was created by Amazon on your behalf to ensure you are compensated when your content helps customers that encounter your content on Amazon make qualifying purchases. Onsite earnings are what you would earn if someone was already browsing on Amazon, sees your photos, and purchases something. As you didn’t directly drive that customer to Amazon to shop, but influenced them to purchase once they were there, we compensate you for the purchase but at an onsite rate.
Your Onsite Store ID does not affect or change your rates for traffic you send to Amazon, including your storefront or other pages you link to on Amazon (e.g., product pages). You should continue to use the same Store ID(s) you have been using when driving traffic to Amazon.
Millions of customers shop on Amazon. We are excited to share your shoppable content (e.g., Idea Lists, photos where applicable) with customers as they search and browse Amazon for products and services. This is a great opportunity to expand your brand and build your following.
Earning Onsite Commissions
What are onsite earnings?
Now your shoppable content and product recommendations can be selected to appear to customers as they search and browse Amazon for products and services. You will earn onsite rates when Amazon displays your published content (e.g., Idea Lists, photos where applicable) on Amazon and customers click on your content and make a qualifying purchase. Onsite earnings are not inclusive of any traffic that you send directly to Amazon or your storefront. You will continue to earn your standard Influencer commission rates and attribution for traffic you drive.
How do I sign up for onsite commission?
If you are part of Amazon’s Influencer Program, you were automatically assigned an Onsite Store ID, which tracks your earnings in connection with the use of your content on Amazon. This is separate from your Associates Store ID which is used to track the links you drive to Amazon. If you are not part of the Amazon Influencer Program you can apply here.
How do I start earning onsite?
Keep publishing great content to your storefront! If eligible, Amazon may select content from your storefront, giving you another way to monetise your content and build a following on Amazon.
Where do I go to add content?
Sign in to your Amazon Influencer account and go to your storefront (e.g., amazon.sg/shop/YourStorefrontName). Click ‘Create content’ and then ‘Idea List’ or 'Shoppable Photo'.
What items qualify for onsite earnings, and how are rates calculated?
You can find the onsite rates in Associates Central. When customers click on or stream your content, you earn from sales for qualifying purchases.
How can I tell if my content is being used and see my onsite earnings?
Associates Central reporting shows your onsite earnings and units shipped (including actual items shipped) under your Onsite Store ID in Associates Central. Use the drop down menu next to your store name in the top right corner of Associates Central to select your on Onsite Store ID to view onsite earnings.
How do I get paid?
In order to receive your onsite earnings, please add your payment and tax information to your Onsite Store ID in Associates Central. We are obligated to have this information on file in order to make payments. Please note that this information is encrypted and stored in a secure database and we do not transfer it from one Store ID to another so each Store ID requires you input your tax info in order to be paid.
Why do I need two Store IDs?
For tracking purposes, there are two IDs so you can see your earnings from the links you generate and traffic you drive to Amazon vs the content that Amazon features onsite. You do not need to do anything with your Onsite Store ID, it is only for tracking and reporting. Keep using your regular Store ID(s) for all the links you generate.
Is my Onsite Store ID applicable for all Amazon country domains?
No. Currently your Onsite Store ID is created in the same locale as your Influencer storefront. If you have an Influencer Store ID for multiple countries, you will be assigned an Onsite Store ID in each one. Currently, content must be published in the specific country in order to be eligible to earn onsite in that country.
What if I do not want my content promoted?
Our vision is that this new benefit will add long term value to your business and Amazon customers. However, if you would prefer specific storefront content not be featured on other placements at Amazon, you can remove content from your storefront.
